Learn about permission levels for Admins, Editors, Read-Only users, and Guest users on the Trustible Platform.
Admin Users
Users designated as an “Admin” have the highest permission level in the platform. Below is an explanation about what Admin users are able to do in the Platform.
- Admin users can change permission levels for other users on the Platform, however they are not able to make changes to their own permission level.
- Admin users have view access to all tabs within the platform. This includes Inventory, Policies, Frameworks, Insights, Reports, and Trainings (if enabled).
- Admin users have create, edit, archive, and delete access on the Policies and Inventory portions of the Platform.
- Admin users can run reports.
- Admin users have the ability to manage the following Organization settings:
- Update general information about the Organization.
- Manage user invites, deactivate users, and reset passwords.
- Create and manage teams and departments.
- Manage default settings, such as setting default Workflows and Owners.
- When enabled, Admins may also manage the following under Organization settings:
- Create and assign API tokens
- Set-up Single Sign-on and other Integrations, such as Azure or Databricks.
- Manage tags, including creating, updating, and deleting custom tags.
- Admin users can edit their own user information, reset their passwords, and set notification preferences.
Editor Users
Below is an explanation about what users with Editor level permission are able to do in the Platform.
- Editors have view access to all tabs within the platform. This includes Inventory, Policies, Frameworks, Insights, Reports, and Trainings (if enabled).
- Editors can create and edit access on the Policies and Inventory portions of the Platform.
- Editors can run reports.
- Editors can manage can their own user information, reset their passwords, and set notification preferences.
Contributor Users
Below is an explanation about what users with Contributor level permission are able to do in the Platform.
- Contributors can access the homepage to submit use cases, manage their submitted use cases, and their assigned tasks.
